1) What we collect

• Account data: Name, email/phone, password hash, profile photo, and basic profile details (e.g., creator or advertiser registration info).
• Content: Videos, posts, comments, messages, and related metadata (timestamps, reactions, reports).
• Verification data: Government ID details and bank account details for creators/advertisers needing payouts or ads.
• Wallet & transactions: Recharge history, payout requests, and balances.
• Reports: Feedback and reports you file about content or users.

👉 We do not collect IP addresses, device identifiers, cookies, analytics, or tax/accounting info as of now.
Sensitive details like IDs and bank data are encrypted in our systems.

2) How we use your data

• Provide accounts, feeds, posting, messaging, wallets, and ad/creator functions.
• Verify identity and bank account for creators and advertisers.
• Display ads and calculate ad views for advertiser billing and creator payouts.
• Review reports and enforce safety rules (reject/remove abusive or irrelevant videos).
• Send essential communications (account verification emails, payout notices, policy updates).

Note: Users cannot opt out of essential emails (like verification), but can toggle push notifications on/off in app settings.

3) Public content

• Public videos and posts are visible to all users and even non-logged-in visitors.
• Friends-only posts are visible only to accepted friends.

⚠️ Please avoid posting personal/sensitive info in public content.

4) Creators & Advertisers

Creators:

• Must register a creator profile to upload videos.
• Videos go through eligibility checks before publishing.
• Earnings depend on ad availability (no ads → no earnings).
• Payouts require ID + bank verification. Funds are transferred only to the verified account.
• Creators can delete videos or request complete profile deletion (wallet balance will be settled first).

Advertisers:

• Must register an advertiser profile and complete ID verification.
• Ads are reviewed before publishing.
• Ads run only if wallet balance is sufficient.
• Recharge money is non-refundable (unless decided otherwise in special cases).
• Advertisers receive only general performance data (impressions, clicks, submissions). No personal user identities unless voluntarily shared via ad forms.

Pages:

Page admins can post content to publicise organisations or groups. Pages are not part of video monetisation.

5) Reporting & moderation

Anyone can report content. We review reports and may remove or restrict content or accounts that break our rules.

6) Data deletion

• You can delete videos, posts, and chats via in-app delete options.
• You can request account deletion (default, creator, advertiser, or page).
• We will settle pending balances and then delete your data, except where law requires us to keep certain records (e.g., financial).

7) Security

Sensitive info like IDs and bank details are stored securely using encryption and restricted access. We apply reasonable security practices and update our systems regularly.

8) Children

• Mandaan is intended for users aged 13 years and above.
• We do not knowingly allow accounts for children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
• Our content standards strictly prohibit publishing sexually explicit, abusive, or otherwise harmful videos.
• Users under 18 may register as default users, but Creator/Advertiser accounts require age 18+ with ID verification.
• Anyone with a valid Google or Apple account can log in.
• We do not provide parental consent mechanisms today.

9) Child Safety

Mandaan has zero tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or any child exploitation. Such content will be removed immediately, accounts banned, and may be reported to authorities.

10) Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices or laws change. Updates will be posted in-app and/or via email.
